Cyber: a definition

Cyberspace is the global environment born from the interconnections of information and communications systems. It is not just computers and the Internet, it includes all information systems that support our businesses, infrastructure and services, all the content, data and traffic that is stored and shared publicly and privately, as well as all interactions between people, software, services, devices and networks at play, whether physical or virtual. Computers include embedded processors and controllers and electro-magnetic spectrum. In military strategy, cyberspace is understood not just as part of the information environment, but as “dependent on the physical domains of air, land, maritime, and space.”
